He isn't sure how he was even willing to eventually treasure Edo into what it was-- and how he felt so strongly that he could lead a group that would peacefully change it for the better. Especially since he is a violent person who used to have very violent tendencies ( he still does, but it's a little different. )
He isn't sure how he can be so loyal to somebody who robbed him of his most important inspiration in his life, either. Maybe it has to do with him being able to see beauty in things that are tarnished. But here he is.
