[ On the evening of the 23rd, a small package will be delivered to Katsura's doorstep. It's a small box, about 12 inches in length, and maybe 8 in height. The package has "FRAGILE" written all over it, and a small note that says "DO NOT OPEN UNTIL THE 25th".
Whether or not Katsura opens it on the date stated or earlier, he'll find a painting of him and Elizabeth looking very happy and eating mochi together under a cherry blossom tree. It isn't realistic per se, but it's a rather cute painting that at least gets their physical traits right. The package is labelled fragile because the painting has a simple black frame around it to protect it.
Along with the package is a Christmas card - a rather simple one, it only has Widget's smiley blue face :) on it. It should be obvious who it's from!

When he does, though, he looks at it, and he feels his cheeks heat up at the picture. First off, it's hand crafted, and he's instantly touched somebody took the time to actually make something for him. Secondly, it's very cute and he knows where he's going to put it in his apartment.
It's.. such a nice present? He hardly ever gets presents-- let alone really nice ones like this.
It makes him remember all he times he's eaten food with Elizabeth-- and the cherry blossoms, it reminds him of home, his country that he loves so much. They typically don't indulge in things like mochi, but it's the thought that really counts. Athena doesn't know him or Elizabeth very well.
He wants to be there.

[The doorbell is rung at Katsura's home, but there's no one outside when the door opens (because he's hiding around a nearby corner to spy for a reaction). Instead, a pink gift bag is left there, with a very large tag on it that reads:

The envelope reads "To Katsura. Do not open until Christmas!" If he opens it now or later, this is what he will find:

While the news of his world's apparent fate hadn't been particularly upsetting ("Good riddance," he may or may not have thought), Takasugi could have done without the weird virtual reality stuff or... well, just about anything else. The whole point of destroying the world wasn't exactly to end up in another one afterward that wasn't all that different from the first. But you know. Details.
But all of that's behind him now—regardless of how he feels, what he likes or dislikes, this is apparently the reality of his current situation and the sooner he got used to it, the better. He had come a long way back home, he had gone too far to just end up in a place like this with absolutely nothing to show for it. Yes, I had my wounds taken care of at the hospital. It isn't anything that I haven't experienced before.
My vision did give out and I arrived in my apartment. I had my injuries taken care of, but I was not able to get the camera.

Yes, I had my wounds taken care of at the hospital. It isn't anything that I haven't experienced before.
My vision did give out and I arrived in my apartment. I had my injuries taken care of, but I was not able to get the camera.
I think keeping things in person is a moot point. They can hear and see us no matter what we do. How can that be?

I appreciate your concern about my test*cles, but I got out alive.. and with BOTH of them intact. They are the core fruit of what makes a man, so it is good to know CERES is going easy on us when they had an opportunity and decided to not use it.
