I appreciate your concern about my test*cles, but I got out alive.. and with BOTH of them intact. They are the core fruit of what makes a man, so it is good to know CERES is going easy on us when they had an opportunity and decided to not use it.
Duel Gazer. It's part of the standard equip for anybody who plays duels - you can see augmented reality through it, and can also use it as a communication device or a small computer. It's higher tech than the CereVices here. Usually you wear it over one of your eyes and look through it, thus the 'Gazer' part of the name.
[Don't ask how often he has been explaining that since he arrived here.]
That's good to hear. Did they find anything at the hospital? I'm pretty good at taking hits, so I'm fine considering the circumstances. Just plenty spooked. Is your right eye bad too?
[Vector and trusting anybody. The joke's that good that he almost starts laughing out loud.]
I want to trust people if I can. But that doesn't mean that I'm---
[He trails off, leaving it to Katsura to fill in the rest. Truth is Vector'll happily feign trust with almost everybody, but even then he isn't the type to let himself be blinded with faith.]
I did at first, but soon after, I realize our "training" here wasn't building or preparing us for any sort of war. Mosley-san claims it does, but will not go into detail how. That alone makes me not trust them.
Since my arrival here, I've only gotten negative or evasive responses from CERES management.
Don't you think that maybe things went a little too conveniently for us? What if everything on that tour was a setup to pull us into a giant new game?
Or what if we're not the only ones being played?
[It's not like he is going to defend CERES, but Vector is one of the people whose brains just keeps buzzing and buzzing and who likes to consider all eventualities. It makes surviving and being successful in his line of work so much easier.]
It's a lot to think about and it's a lot the company doesn't want to share with us. That is the main thing that makes me mistrust them. They act so nice up front, but then hostile or evasive at the drop of a hat.
[But a guy who pulls explosives out of his underwear during what was supposed to be a simple tourist tour is more trust-inspiring?]
Mmmh. You're most likely right. I'm so used to thinking in game scales that anything that seems too simple can be a bit strange to me.
Though, I have to say I was really surprised how well-prepared everybody on the tour was! I must have been the only noncombatant around. Thanks for looking out for me again!
[ child.. ] I'm prepared like Lupin III. Ha ha ha. They call me Master Escape Kotarou at home, you know.
Ah.. it wasn't a problem. I'm thankful nobody was severely injured. That wasn't my intent. [ it used to be. But now he's more of a moderate-pacifist instead of a terrorist. He will only bring danger to those who deserve it instead of innocent people. ]
Still, it was really nice of you. Although I sincerely hope that I won't be needing your protection anymore next time. I want to be able to hold up my own and help everybody else out too!
It's good you're prepared, then. That's always how you should be, especially in a situation like this, or if you're waiting in a long queue to obtain frozen yogurt. [ ??? ]
Anytime you find out something interesting about this place, could you inform me?
[Yeah, those lines at the lunch bar can be hell. Or at least he thinks that's what Katsura meant. Probably.]
Sure! I'm still on the lookout for those ambiguously vibrating items Hiro-kun wants anyway. Just tell me what you'd like to know about and I'll let you know as soon as I find something!
[ oh... he thinks he knows what you're talking about. Okay. ] - Species of CERES management. - Any other ideas as to why we're actually here, other than defending CERES. - Anything on Flamines. - Any information on how playing in ViViD is helping us. - Any explanation for people leaving and sometimes reappearing. - Any idea where cute Earth animals are that aren't robots or something repulsive.
Seeing the list, Vector sucks the air through in his teeth. That are ...actually quite useful things to find out more about, although sometimes a bit ambiguously phrased. Some even he hasn't thought about yet, mainly because he couldn't care less about species other than Barians. But figuring out the full identity with all its enclosing details of the Ceres folks is very clever, especially considering they might have to catch or kill them sooner or later.
As for the animals... Why are only sentient, more or less human-like beings being taken indeed. Looks like he's underestimated this guy.]
That's quite a list. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for anything, but it might take a while.
[ TEXT ]
How about yours?
[ TEXT ]
[Don't judge, this thing is IMPORTANT. Also, it's exactly that missed opportunity to get rid of no longer useful witnesses that worries him.]
I'm checking if everybody has made it out a- well now.
[ TEXT ]
Ah. I am recovering. My house mate took me to the hospital.
[ come to think of it, it did take him awhile to reply back to this text. ]
I take it you are alright for the most part?

I'm thirteen. Why?
[ TEXT ]
I was treated at the hospital and saw a few familiar people. The blindness is something that the corporation did to us all.
They've tampered with our bodies at some point to do that.
[ TEXT ]
Yeah. I'd have been more surprised if they hadn't implemented more than one security on the people they brought back, actually. It seems logical.
But that they actually used it that lightly ...it's scary.

Have you been here for a long time, Katsura-san?
Re: [ TEXT ]
[ but you know.. Christmas time OOCly. ]
That would be a valid argument-- but if they're allies, why did they put us in danger? Mosley-san walked away from us.. you know that.
[ TEXT ]
That might not be necessarily true.
[ TEXT ]
Ah.. thank you, Rei-kun.
What do you mean by that?

All I can encourage is to be wary of this place. There are people and things here that don't appear as they seem.
[ TEXT ]
Hehe~ I know that already! After the aliens that look like humans and all the AR monsters that suddenly turn real I'm prepared for anything!
PS: AR = Artificial Reality, I keep forgetting that only a few know about this kind of stuff here, sorry!
