[ ... ] You all know everything about us, then. As a group of people who don't take these "errors" in your system seriously, I find that very unnerving, Mosley-dono.
I suggest you all improve on this broken place. It would be a shame if somebody did something drastic to get the point across. [ that's a threat. even after you butter him up with a present. ]
You know, many people have recovered their pets as prizes via the ViViD system. Have you not checked? For someone so concerned, I imagine that would be the first place you looked.
You needn't worry about CERES underestimating the importance of you and your fellows. Everything else is secondary compared to your safety and happiness, Mr Katsura. You come first.
I have won many prizes. From cute things to credits to *****s. I even wondered if I could win my friends from back home just to ensure their safety. That isn't how this place works, now is it? After this most recent incident, I'm not sure if I'm willing to participate or trust in your so-called games anymore.
*****s? Surely not. I didn't realize *****s were an in game prize. I might need a refresher on what's currently available, haha.
It seems you're feeling sensitive today, Mr Katsura. I did hope the gift would help but if you're going to take your suffering out on me, perhaps we should talk again at another time? I really am just trying to help but if you won't believe that, then we have nothing to discuss.
[ All of this texting was exhausting and he's an old man. Spare him. Zura switches to video and is sitting on his haunches with his CereVICE propped up so we can see. His jaw is firm. ]
... I have every reason to be sensitive. I have speculations in regards to you and our business being here. There are several things that I believe.
One— these glitches that you all seem to take so likely is a flaw in your system, and it is our adversaries attacking us by their own means. There are a few problems wrong with this, as all attacks I have received seem to be personalized, much like this gift you've given me. The idea is still probable, though, because we don't know as much about our supposed enemies as we would like.
Two— It is your own doing, purposefully— maliciously. The reasoning behind it can only leave me baffled, but the previous owner so easily passed these incidents with mere apologies and nothing more. Is this how you treat your "heroes"?
I have suffered, and I'm not alone. I have a faith that this new management will make things right... and perhaps be more open with the meaning behind these things. It's a small faith, but it is there.
If not, again, I will have no hesitations to take actions. [ he came here with some weapons from home and he hasn't had any reason to use them... yet. ]
1) Your data is in the system. The network around you holds that data. Let me see if I can explain this as simple as possible. There is you, Kotarou Katsura, but not as a person as a... file? Ah, this is where it gets complicated, bear with me. Within that file is all that makes up Kotarou Katsura. Your hopes, your dreams, your history, etc etc.
Then something happens, a glitch, an attack, what have you. That data is suddenly momentarily corrupted and will be used for and against you. So, when our community at large is suffering a bit of trouble, the chances of the trouble you encounter specifically being personal to you are quite high. It's as if your own data is attacking you too. Right now, there isn't a fix for that since to keep you as you, your data has to be connected. Otherwise, you will be an empty vessel. You might look like Kotarou Katsura but you most certainly will not feel like Kotarou Katsura. That is why we are perfectly willing to do anything we can to help ease whatever pain you suffer through. It's not fun to have your demons presented to you and no NDA in the universe can keep that from happening. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
2) The attacks are not from us. They are, as we always have stated before, the Flamines. These are not the front lines, Mr Katsura, but they know that this colony is valuable. Sometimes, they are able to attack our networks through their nefarious ways and we stop them. The side-effects are the glitches you encounter. We, just like you, would prefer it to stop.
But you are smart to assume we are not like Mr Vincere and his crew. CERES will be taken towards a new direction now, one with open doors and free information. We really, really do not have anything to hide and I am not sure why Mr Vincere acted as if this was the case. My apologies, Mr Katsura.

Thank you.

.. Thank you for the explanation and time, then.
