I also don't understand the significance of the Bridge either. I assumed she was the leader of the elemental spirits since Maris was always constantly referring to her even before we saw her in the jungle. Perhaps she could be the embodiment of all the elements.

CERES claims they are keeping us protected and that the Bridge and her followers are malicious because of the flooding.. but I think we were not meant to get involved. I believe Maris-san might have been showing his malicious intent on CERES; not us.
They did not harm us intentionally in the jungle, did they?
I agree. I think what Maris did was justified, given their past history with CERES and taking into account CERES' track record thus far. I'm not sure if I would give my loyalty to them, though if I had to choose, I'd prefer their company more than Mosley and his associates. However, taking us out of the city, throwing us into different parts of the jungle without our consent, is similar to what CERES has done with us. An enemy of an enemy is a friend, but something about them makes me feel uncertain.
I suppose in the end I'll just have to see for myself. CERES has wronged Maris and the others, and while I don't trust them, I will do my part to provide assistance. Nothing CERES has done is excusable.
