Haah? You think I would trust a hospital run by this corporation in re-building something for me? Performing surgery, too. I'd be in such a vulerable state. What if they realized how much of a threat I am and take me out in the hospital? [ don't say things like this aloud when they obviously can hear you. ]
I won't. My appendages have sentiment. They've been with me my entire life. [ this is ... hilarious but true. ]
[...besides the obvious joke here, Katsura actually does have a good point.]
While that's probably true, worst case scenario you could take the prosthetic leg and use it as a melee weapon if they did try to attack you. Right now it's harder to fight back. Aren't you already sort of in a vulnerable state?
[A pause.] And it's not really fair to yourself either to be stuck. If you think about it, they owe this to you.
[ Katsura leans back in his seat, half lidded eyes tracing the ground thoughtfully. He looks down at what work they could do for now on his injury with eases out a sigh.
Well sure. But there're consequences for not trusting them either aren't there? [He frowns slightly.]
...I hate hospitals. [May as well throw that out there.] Spent time in and out of them for a whole bunch of reasons, hated it every step of the way. But if you want I can go with you to get it replaced. If they try anything, Baymax and I can take care of them and get you out of there.
[Baymax seems to think that's a great idea, judging by the way he chimes in.]
We would be of great assistance in case of an attack.
[ Oh. Yeah, he doesn't really like hospitals. He much rather have people he cares about fuss over him instead of some strangers. Katsura's lips curl into a slight frown. ]
I will think on it. [ Look at you, Hiro. You're getting through to him! (in two threads, now.) What an achievement. ]
That's all I ask. [There's a tiny, encouraging smile. Listen to the kid, Katsura.] Let me know what you decide and we'll be there.
I just wish we'd been there in the tower in the first place. Tadashi and I even got separated from Hiccup, so...[He shakes his head disapprovingly.] Can't believe it.
It was.. [ Katsura trails off, thinking about the Research Tower again and the obstacles they faced. ]
.. confusing, as ever, Hiro-dono. Like always, nothing made sense. The entire place was rearranged differently than last time. Oh.. and one of the creatures we came across whom I assume was an employee there was a giant reptile. [ A dinosaur. ]
Such as G*dzilla. Isn't that peculiar? Aren't most employees there robots?
I'm more concerned about the fact that there weren't more employees around to stop us. Don't you think it's still a little weird that we practically walked in there without anybody else really noticing?
[A beat.] And where the hell did you guys find a dinosaur? Why would CERES employ a giant lizard?
I figure they knew of our arrival through the information gathered by the ocular implants, but that makes it even more suspicious that the place was heavily unguarded... and empty other than the guard-bots we came across.
[ A beat. ]
CERES seems to enjoy disappearing a lot, don't they? Hah. It is so odd. I wonder where they go.
It makes you wonder if that means the tower really shouldn't be our objective. We know they kept the Bridge and the ghosts there...and we know that they have other things there but what if it's not the real thing in their arsenal or whatever?
There's also the part where sometimes it sounds like CERES themselves is disjointed. Maybe they don't really know where they're all hiding either.
It isn't. Not now, at least. I am sure there are may other answers we can find if we look elsewhere.. Surely it can't be all that hard to find answers, but somehow it is proving to be that way.
I feel like, though.. we are making progress. And it's people that are actually making an effort that are revealing things.
If.. only we could spark this kind of passion within everyone's hearts here. That is ultimately what I would like to see. [ that explains the flyers, even if they aren't the best way to rile people up. ]
After everything, you still wanna stage a rebellion? [When he'd first met Katsura the idea was absolutely absurd. Now though? He's a little more open to it and he's looking at him quietly as he thinks this through.]
I want the same thing, but I also want to make sure people aren't going to get hurt. If we can figure out a way to do that...then I'm in. Look at what happened to you three in the tower. No more of that.
—You're right. My goal all along was to.. rescue others, figure this out, but in the end.. I was just thinking of myself and how I wanted to do this. I suppose somebody needed to pay the price of being so reckless.. and it happened to be me.
[ A pause. ]
I will consider having myself looked at again and take what they can offer for me. ... Though. These legs carry so many memories. I suppose I shouldn't hang into the past and focus more on the present, hah?
Don't be too hard on yourself either, okay? Sometimes stuff like that just...happens. Trust me, I know.
[But he can understand the hang-ups that come with being fixated on the past and memories from the past. Isn't that a lot of what he's stuggling with himself? Being stuck on the past with Tadashi and the like. He doesn't think to say that though. This isn't about him. This is about Katsura and encouraging his friend to move forward to make things better not just for him but for everyone else.]
I...don't think there's anything wrong with hanging onto the past as long as you're willing to use it to help shape the present. Does that make sense?
[ Shape the present, hanging onto the past. That's what Katsura always did back home. He wanted to shape the present backwards to what was in the past. All of the influence from the Amanto was killing what was traditional and cultural in Japan.
Katsura can only stare at Hiro for a moment, mouth slightly agape before he nods. ]
... it does make sense. [ He's not sure if he agrees entirely, but it makes sense right here; right now. ]

Good. And Baymax and I will be here to help you with whatever you need. I promise.
